About Sail Crossings

Sail Crossings (sailcrossings.com) is a community registry for ocean passage sailors. By using this site or submitting a crossing log, you agree to these terms.

Intellectual property

All content on Sail Crossings — including passage guides, descriptions, design, layout, diplomas, and code — is © 2026 Sail Crossings. All rights reserved. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or republish any part of this site without our written permission.

Crossing logs you submit remain yours. By submitting, you grant Sail Crossings a non-exclusive licence to display your submission as part of the registry.

No scraping or automated access

Automated scraping, crawling, or harvesting of content or data from this site is not permitted without our explicit written consent. This includes collecting crossing logs, passage data, or any other structured information for use on another platform, for training AI models, or for commercial purposes.

If you'd like to use our data for research or another legitimate purpose, contact us — we're happy to talk.

Submitted content

By submitting a crossing log you confirm that:

  • The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • You are not submitting false or misleading records
  • Any photos you upload are your own and you have the right to share them

We reserve the right to remove or reject submissions that appear inaccurate, abusive, or in violation of these terms. We may also correct obvious spelling or punctuation errors before publishing — your words and story remain yours.

No warranty

Sail Crossings is provided as-is. Passage guides and crossing logs are contributed by community members and are for informational purposes only. Do not rely on any information here for navigation decisions — always use official charts, weather services, and your own judgement at sea.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the current version.
